Orsoni mosaics for the new opening of Ca’ Select in Venice

The renowned red Venetian aperitif has always been called Select, and today it also has a home: Ca’ Select. Inaugurated just a few steps away from our furnace, Ca’ Select is a project that involved the excellences of Venetian craftsmanship, and it couldn’t miss the enamel mosaics of Orsoni Venezia 1888. Orsoni proudly signs the iconic logo of the brand and the main entrance of this fascinating new landmark in the city with the Select red.

Legend has it that it was Gabriele D’Annunzio who coined the name Select. The intellectual was in Venice for the Festa del Redentore when he was served Select during an aperitivo. D’Annunzio found the drink so delicious that he wanted to praise the selection of raw materials, thus coining the term “selectus,” later shortened to “select.”

A massive Orsoni enamel mosaic keychain, located in Campo Santa Maria Formosa in Venice, intrigued citizens and visitors for a week, inviting them to discover the new reality of Ca’ Select, a place of hospitality and exploration into the ingredients and production techniques of the historic Venetian aperitif.
