Wednesday, June 14th, in the magnificent location of Boga Space in Milan, the limited edition collection of 18 bottles, Brugal 1888 / Orsoni Venezia 1888, was presented.
This collaboration began with the journey of our mosaic master, Adriana Landi, to the Dominican Republic to visit the Casa Brugal company, where she explored the places, colors, scents, and stories of this ancient family.
Both companies were founded in the same year, thousands of kilometers apart, yet they share the same approach—a family mastering a craft while respecting their origins and values from one generation to another, embracing change and learning from it. Meeting again in Milan to share this wonderful project with the public was a new opportunity to celebrate the excellence of two families tied to their traditions while constantly renewing.
The collection of 18 bottles Brugal 1888 / Orsoni Venezia 1888, has been designed around 4 common themes shared by both brands.
The first collection, Bold Beginnings, emphasizes the important history of the founders. Each piece of art will take observers on a journey that tells their shared points: passion, tenacity, and innovative spirit.
The second collection Mastery of Craft showcases the path behind craftsmanship that spans over 135 years of history and the teachings that have been passed down from generation to generation. The third collection Welcoming Family delves deeply into the natural hospitality of the Brugal family, a characteristic of the Dominican Republic, as told by the Orsoni team in the context of their visit to the Brugal home in Puerto Plata.
The fourth and final collection Lasting Legacy revolves around the shared vision and desire to leave a lasting impact, with the primary goal of supporting the lands where each of the houses was born.
Liquid Gold is the bottle from the Brugal 1888 / Orsoni Venezia 1888 collection that will be auctioned in Turin, and the proceeds will be donated to the Ugo and Olga Levi Foundation, a Venetian center for musical and musicological research that promotes the culture of music. The donation will be allocated to the restoration of a collection of portraits of famous musicians.
Liquid Gold symbolizes the legacy that both brands will leave behind and pays tribute to the award-winning Brugal rum, which remains consistently perfect over time, just like the timeless 24k gold leaf mosaics by Orsoni used to create incredible projects.
