The third edition of Brugal’s Global Artist Series features 18 handmade bottles by Orsoni Venezia 1888, celebrating 135 years of shared heritage, family craftsmanship, and the uniqueness of both rum production and the art of mosaic.

Brugal, a brand with over 135 years of expertise in the art of Dominican rum production, continues its series of artistic projects through a special collaboration with the Venetian mosaic furnace, Orsoni Venezia 1888. A collection of Brugal 1888 bottles, created using the distinctive mosaic technique of Orsoni Venezia 1888, gives life to 18 unique pieces, symbolizing heritage and the family’s manufacturing skill – defining qualities that have characterized both brands since their inception. This luxury limited edition celebrates two enduring legacies of art and craftsmanship, both born in 1888.

“The collection created by Brugal 1888 and Orsoni Venezia 1888 tells the story of two passionate, innovative, and tireless founding fathers,” declares Jassil Villanueva Quintana, Master Blender of Brugal.

Both companies were founded in the same year, thousands of kilometers apart, and yet they share the same approach: that of a family mastering a craft while honoring their origins and values from generation to generation, embracing change and learning from it. From all of this, two enduring brands have emerged, offering the world authentic craftsmanship in the realms of rum and art. Now, they come together in a collaborative project that encapsulates all these values in a unique endeavor.

An extraordinary golden bottle, named “Liquid Gold,” will be auctioned by the renowned Bolaffi in Turin in 2024, and the proceeds will be donated to the Ugo and Olga Levi Foundation, a Venetian center for musical and musicological research dedicated to promoting music culture. The donation will be used for the restoration of a collection of portraits of famous musicians.
